Cisco has appointed former Juniper Network executive David Yen the head of company’s server access and virtualization technology group, Savtg. Yen will now serve as the General Manager and Senior Vice President of Savtg. His line of reporting includes Padmasree Warrior and Pankaj Patel, senior vice presidents and the co-leaders of Cisco’s engineering organization.
Previously, Yen has served 20 years at Sun Microsystems and single handedly transformed the company from a workstation to an enterprise server company.
